Attention Spotlights Food Nutrition Values
By: Doug Busselman, Executive Vice President
Next week (Feb. 15th – 21st) will be a special week for Farm Bureau to highlight the advantages we have as Americans in regard to our food supply and the value we receive.
Once the Food Check-Out Week celebration was geared to drawing attention to food affordability, highlighting the small amount of a family’s disposable income required to pay for their full year’s food bill. Shifting from a strict take-home message of how in-expensive U.S. food is, the emphasis now seeks to help consumers better understand ways they can eat healthy while doing so within a budget.
Ideally, this educational outreach will pay dividends beyond this week of promotion.
