Zealots involved in promoting their agenda through the use of the scientific theory of Climate Change appear to be in the driver’s seat with the support of the Obama Administration helping to leverage their political advantages into greater control over our lives and businesses.

Even before the current administration had taken control of the levers and hammers of government, consideration was being given by the Environmental Protection Agency for assessments for the release of gases deemed to be contributing factors to the negative make up of our atmosphere.  Such “gases” include those expelled by various forms of life, including livestock.

Because government officials can and do use regulations, with the authority of government agencies, to shape actions they want citizens to take, supporters of an anti-livestock agenda could reinstitute the effort to implement a cow tax to penalize livestock producers.

An effort to protect livestock producers from this wrong-headed, Big-Brother approach is taking the form of legislation offered for Congress to pass as a safeguard.  As this information from the American Farm Bureau Federation suggest, passage of this legislation should be a priority that we should get behind.
