What Goes Up – Must…
By: Doug Busselman, Executive Vice President
While the advocacy of the public media continues to seek to persuade us that the Obama Administration and his friends in Congress are taking the country in the proper direction -- it seems that slowly, but surely the public is starting to wonder.
Not being a believer in the concept of growing government spending (never mind the horrific-fold increases that this President has sought and Congress has approved) I also understand that at some point there is going to be a time of reckoning when those increases have to be paid for. We haven’t seen the tax legislation yet (although we’ve been told it will only impact those making $250,000 or more) that’s going to cover the run-away spending binge that’s been going on since January of 2009.
If you think people are thinking otherwise about the stimulus package now (and surprisingly still more thinking it was a good idea, than I would believe appropriate) – wait till Big Brother comes after the cash to cover the splurge.
