Educational Opportunities To Make Farming Activities Pay

By:  Doug Busselman, Executive Vice President

In considering the possibilities of expanding Nevada’s agricultural opportunities there is reason to be on the look-out for picking up additional information and insights into alternatives that might fit into making things more profitable.  A hard-working group of folks connected with the Western Nevada College are offering additional workshops as part of their on-going series, exposing interested participants to new potential.

A plus for these sessions is the “hands-on” experience you could get by participating.

The workshop schedule includes:

  • July 22 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Marketing & Adding Value To Your Farm (Using Lavender)
  • August 14 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Nursery Stock, Herbs & Produce – Harvesting For Markets
  • September 10 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Wine Grape Harvest

We encourage those who might be interested to check in here at their registration website to click your way into a learning experience that you might enjoy…
