You Can’t Get Much Plainer Than That

If our U.S. Senators don’t understand that the idea of passing the Climate Change Cap-and-Trade bill is just plain dumb – they were told basically that by American Farm Bureau Federation President Bob Stallman in his testimony before the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works.
His actual wording went like this:
Amen! That pretty much sums up what this whole discussion is about. People who think they are in charge of everyone else’s life, coming up with a dumb idea to tax us all (mostly in the form of forced, governmentally-driven, energy cost increases) and not accomplish anything in the process.
We all need to be just as involved in communicating the same message to our U.S. Senators, making them aware that this idea is just plain dumb!

“Unilateral cap-and-trade legislation will have little or no impact on the climate because greenhouse gas emissions require a global response,” said Stallman. “A ton of GHG (greenhouse gases) emitted in China is the same as a ton of GHG emitted in Virginia. Regulating emissions in Virginia without regulating emissions in China will have little or no effect on the environment.”
