Fiscal Responsibility Sinking In As Election Outlooks Take Form

By:  Doug Busselman, Executive Vice President

Election 2010 is causing a little reality to soak in for some who haven’t done much else in Washington, D.C. than spend tons and tons of their constituents money.  Newly elected Nevada Congresswoman Dina Titus fits into that category and her “mandate” for election was a 47 percent total.

This piece highlights the worry that some Congressional freshman, including Titus are having.  It was interesting to read the identified Democratic game-plan… first, “just blame Bush”  -- then sell the strategy that we’re cutting the deficit by the way we’ll bring down costs in our government-funded control programs…10 years from now.

There are a number of problems in dealing with the consequences of lying, especially if you get to be the only one who actually believes the lie.   We hope that voters will continue to grasp just what kind of a mess the current majority party is creating and they are provided with solid candidates as alternatives, committed to go in and make less government happen.
