Some Insights Into What It Took To Buy Climate Change Passage In The U.S. House

The narrow passage of the Climate Change bill in the U.S. House took some major doing with any number of deals cut to acquire the number of votes from Congressmen looking to get what they could in return for their vote.  This politically-inspired solution to a politically-created crisis demonstrates the reason why voters in 2010 need to be prepared to send a whole new crop of representatives back to Washington, D.C. to actually represent the interest of our country.

While the details of what’s in the House version of the climate tax bill, are still being sorted out, here’s a look at some of the goodies added in to finagle the necessary vote count.  You’ll notice in reading the story some of the insights into the way the Cap-and-Trade “market” is going to operate.  

Let’s see, you have a government created “market”, regulated by centralized government planning, involving many of the same elements that resulted in the country’s financial crisis – yeah, that ought to be a winning combination for success.

Please take every opportunity to discuss your concerns with our U.S. Senators, passing along to them the importance of their role in protecting our economic well-being by not voting in support of the legislation.
