The Political Policy Shaping Science

By:  Doug Busselman, Executive Vice President

In order to achieve the outcome that supporters want to accomplish they need a little more “heat” on the global climate change front.  This Washington Post article suggest that things are worse and getting worser as we go.   The second paragraph of the article says it all…

“The new overview of global warming research, aimed at marshaling political support for a new international climate pact by the end of the year, highlights the extent to which recent scientific assessments have outstripped the predictions issued by the Nobel Prize-winning U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in 2007.”

While those who want world governments to destroy their economies in the name of their “science” – we see other numbers which indicate that not only isn’t the planet getting warmer…we might want to see if we can find our coats.

There are plenty of reasons to question the science promoted by supporters who back government actions of command and control.  Evidence suggest that the United Nation’s group are more intent on inflicting damage on the economies than anything else and then as we grow nearer their opportunity for the international talks on the subject…by golly our model says things are even getting worse – we probably should make the policy even more onerous.

As we see from the Washington Post article and other public posturing, our current leaders -- in charge of the United States -- are not going to protect our national interests.  When they get to Copenhagen later his year, we’ll see how badly we are betrayed.
