We’re Making Progress Now

By: Doug Busselman, Executive Vice President

We must be getting to the point where all the important problems have been solved.  Based on this account, the new crisis we have to worry about is whether appropriate signage is provided to tell us that the construction project we’re encountering  (the miles of orange cones without any apparent activity taking place or the traffic jam we’re sitting in while construction workers lean on shovels) is being paid for the magnificent federal government.

Where exactly did the federal government get the money that we’re supposed to be so grateful for receiving?  Oh yeah, the people who are footing the bill aren’t as important as the ones who are doing the spending…

Our most lasting tribute to recognize the federal stimulus package would be the un-election of those who voted in favor of spending the money that wasn't there to be spent.  Nevada has one U.S. Senator and two members of Congress who will be attempting to be re-elected in November of 2010 who fit into this group.
