Maneuvering Continues To Have Uncle Sam Be Your Health Care Provider

As the part of transparency the majority party of the U.S. Senate and House, spend a lot of time behind closed doors figuring out how they are going to carry out their next government takeover. Making the U.S. government the payer for health care services provided, continues to be at the center of attention in the country. As this report indicates the plan that came out of one Senate committee is being worked on in order to give the more leftist leaning of the majority party what they couldn’t get in the committee – the authority for the U.S. government to pick up the health care tab for the country.
Through the “government option” provision (if passed into law) the leverage needed to gain complete control over all of our country’s medical care can be achieved. Private sector competition can be driven out of business and taxpayers without any other option will be able to be “voluntarily” join the new order of government-controlled health care. Medical providers can decide whether they wish to be paid at all or accept the payments dictated by the bureaucrats in charge of operations.
As a society we will have taken another step (maybe the one which provides no return) to government’s total control over our lives. These are certainly times of interesting developments. Depending on the final actions of our elected representatives on this matter, we will possibly be required to explain to those who come after us the details of how and why we gave up our freedom. Then again, that might not be allowed…
