Hopeful That The International Hot Air Conference Goes Flat
By: Doug Busselman, Executive Vice President
The United States did not concur with the last international agreement on climate change and we’re hoping that the worst fears of this account come to pass. In contrast to the editorial writers of the Las Vegas Sun, wringing their hands in distress over the possibility that the international economic-crashers won’t be successful in another new scheme for punishing people in the name of the scientific theory known as climate change, we’re hoping that the only “hot air” agreement coming out of the Nordic gathering will be one of “shucks – we just couldn’t get anybody to agree.”
Here in the U.S. we have our hands full dealing with elected representatives in Congress who want to pass another tax and consider the hoax of global warming to be just the crisis to do the trick. We also have a czarist and army of environmental storm troopers who can’t wait to get out and do what they do best – command and control. Not having an international accord to give these initiatives leverage would be a good thing.
As time goes by and more evidence comes to light of the problems with the science decided by majority votes of research-grant-grabbing “experts” instead of actual proof – we believe that momentum for continuing this farce will decline. As we start grabbing our coats because of the nippy temperatures, we’ll probably hearing how our human-caused misuse of our planet now is causing the next ice age.
When the first climate change agreement was penned it was an era where global warming was the issue, now the scientists and political hacks involved in this effort have needed to shift to a new label, calling what they want us to believe we’ve got -- “climate change”.
