Protection From Those Who Will Do Wrong

The attitude of the Party is that everyone will do wrong and punishment for this wrong (whatever or whenever) should be extracted. How about getting the punishment out of the way ahead of time? This convenient approach is good for government’s bottom line and there’s no reason to worry that we won’t be able to find some way of changing the rules or deciding to do the punishing – it’s only a matter of time.
Yes, the principles of “1984” are coming into existence, promoted and legislated by the Party for our own good.
