Today’s Elections Have Impact For Agriculture
By: Doug Busselman, Executive Vice President
Across the U.S. voters will be participating in various elections, including casting their ballots on issues of importance to agricultural producers. In Ohio voters will be acting on a ballot question put forward by agricultural producers, seeking sound science and a legitimate process in dealing with matters affecting livestock production. Texas farmers and ranchers will be joining their fellow voters deciding on a ballot question aimed at protecting private property rights.
We wish those involved in these important election decisions the very best.
Election of officials who believe in limited government is hopefully another key theme that will be manifest as this Election Day is assessed. From this launch, we hope to see a landside building to take back the direction of our country, establishing responsible spending, reduced taxes and a fundamental understanding that there are limits which apply to government expansion.
