Government Health Payment Solution Not Enough Already?
By: Doug Busselman, Executive Vice President
The headline of somebody paying for the government heath care payment solution prompted me to click on the link and see what Mr. Broder had to say. From what I gathered from the insights he offered was that in spite of the narrow, middle of the night U.S. House passage of their Trillion-dollar solution – we might not be there yet. Yes, Nevada’s U.S. Senator in charge needs to maneuver something through the U.S. Senate so they can get back behind closed-door negotiations for the ultimate outcome – but, also it seems like picking up the tab might have something to do with something.
It was sort of interesting to read that part of the solution is finding a way of not having to pay the costs for those who provide the service – yes, that’s something that government can handle. Then there’s the shortcoming where business don’t pay enough in taxes (since they get a tax deduction for the health insurance costs that they are going to be forced to provide their employees) – government (especially the one under the control of The Party) – don’t have any problem in sticking it to taxpayers. I guess all we need is more government and then the goal of health care payment for all will be accomplished.
