Climate Change The Perfect Progressive Cause
By: Doug Busselman, Executive Vice President
As I’m wrapping up my read of Michael Lux’s book, “The Progressive Revolution – How The Best In America Came To Be”, I’m coming to clearly understand the fundamentals of what makes Climate Change such a perfect cause to make it a top priority for their agenda.
First, the issue of global warming is grandiose - on a scale that is world-wide. It’s a crisis that is so large it literally can be exploited in ways that can only be imagined by those who never rest in their mission. It gives that whole “Think Globally and Act Locally” theme real meaning.
Climate Change is also a perfect crisis because of the way it takes advantage of the brain and caring power of the elite smart people and the sophisticated hierarchy of society who are equipped to play key roles in telling us that we are causing the crisis by living our lives incorrectly, but they will help us to do it the proper way. In creating the crisis that only they as scientists (at least the ones willing to go along with the plan) can even see, measure or understand…we should turn as much cash as possible (probably even more) so they can study, research and do the very smart things that only they are capable of doing. Fortunately, as we restructure our existence to fit their design, they will tell us whether we’re making any progress or not in 50 to 100 years…
Climate Change also fits extremely well into the whole Big Government principle. Through the muscle power that only centralized planning, command and control government can provide, we should tax to thwart any inappropriate use of energy sources not deemed to be in line with the proper vision. We can also use the bureaucratic armies of regulators to establish edicts and constraints that elected officials might not get around to implementing on their own, quickly enough to install the necessary controls. Better yet, the government we’ve got in charge of things now will also work to team up on an international scale to further intertwine a one-world order approach which certainly requires us to do our part.
As part of the benefits for advancing the Climate Change agenda, we also increase the ability to vilify the evils of Capitalism and advance the more righteous approach of socialized government. The greed and selfishness of corporate, big energy can be used in the effective messaging of class warfare, tearing down the foundations of private enterprise to replace it with the glorious vision of a Utopia of equality, social and economic justice where we all have what everyone else has.
In pursuing this more perfect universe, we need to change the misguided thinking and American attitudes that have caused man-made Climate Change to occur. Through the examples of folks like these, we can promote the path that all should follow, integrating the truth that you not only need to understand in a thinking sort of way, but more importantly incorporating the conviction that only feeling can embrace.
Yep, the more you learn the better you can come to understand.

Doug, I haven't read 'Progressive,' but climate change is a reality. Regardless whether you believe in global warming or not, isn't moving away from our dependence on oil a good thing? If we continued as we were, we would become more tightly bound to the middle east, and the incessant instability and violence. All you have to do is look at what's happening in Iran, Yemen, and other middle eastern countires. Did you know that even in the middle east, they've begun to move away from oil? Energy you can obtain directly from the sun or wind beats paying a middleman any day. So, why would we cling to the past, and compromise our sovereignty any more than it is?
