Some Must Reading On Educational Reform

With the discussions going on over improvement in education to benefit Nevada students, I’m well aware that I’ve not even made it to the back row of advancing to the head of any class in understanding what or how to proceed. Having said that and admitting that my main purpose here is passing along the links to get you connected to some really good insights – I would suggest you to give your mouse a click on this very well done piece on the concepts being weighed for Nevada’s pursuit of the Race To The Top federal dollars. It seems to say to me that just going through the process of organizing our public policy thoughts on educational reform are worth the effort…maybe more so than the dollars that might come from Uncle Sam’s checkbook.
I also found this news story from the Washington Post which shed some additional light on what might be going on although I’m not so certain that knowing more details does all that’s required to make the subject any better understood.
