Today -- On The Way To November

By:  Doug Busselman, Executive Vice President

While today’s primary election is of critical importance, it is only a step toward a much more important day in November.  The mood of the country continues to be a focus for main-stream media who report on the dissatisfaction as if they wish the signals they are receiving were wrong.  They seem to be hoping that when it’s all said and done, the champions of big government will be untouched and the process for expanding the secular, socialistic machine will continue.

Those involved in making government an all-controlling and benevolent master of our state and country are also hoping that the anger will diminish before November, leaving them to pursue their agenda to replace personal freedom, opportunity and reliance with the yoke of government “taking care” of us and bringing about their brand of equality (everybody has the same and that ain’t much).

After the results of today’s primary are established the key to success in November will be the hard work of a campaign built on giving voters a reason to vote for limited government and responsible controls.  Messages need to be delivered to advance the cause of establishing a corrected budget process and limiting state spending to sustainable levels.

Ultimately the majority of ballots in November will be cast, based on voters voting for what they believe in and would like to see happen.  Building and attracting necessary majority levels needs to be accomplished with a theme that gives us reasons for supporting a government that stays within appropriate boundaries and discontinues the current routes to uncontrolled expansion.

Those who support a responsible approach for government actions need to be representing us in 2011 and those who believe that it is our responsibility to serve government – need to be replaced.
