Count Down To Replacing Those Who We Need To Get Rid Of
By: Doug Busselman, Executive Vice President
Actually, Nevada’s record high and nation-leading unemployment conditions should be viewed as the perfect example of how “level” these efforts have been. More of the same will get us more of what we’ve got and pretty soon things will be so level nobody will have anything! Bring on the tax increases at the national and state level! Government simply can’t get enough and shouldn’t be restrained from digging deeper into the wallets of those who should be paying more.
The only cure for what ails us is getting rid of those who have been representing us in Carson City and Washington, D.C. who advance the notion that government is the solution and all it will take is more government to make things better. It is up to voters, stepping up in a unified fashion, to demonstrate that they will not tolerate the attitude that government deserves the blind surrender of our private resources. Those who have advanced this philosophy and who have enacted legislation, taxes and out-of-control spending are the ones who should be out of work – at least off the taxpayer’s payroll.
Accomplishing the results we need on Election Day will require each of us to do what we can to work with others in convincing enough of our fellow voters that we need a strong turnout of votes to replace our elected officials who back tax increases and government spending as workable solutions.
“An economy constrained by high tax rates will never produce enough revenue to balance the budget, just as it will never create enough jobs.” –Even though this concept has been lost on those who represent us in Washington, D.C. and Carson City, it’s truth has not been lost on those who believe in the principles of what has proven to be the source of real economic prosperity – the private enterprise system. As we approach November’s Election Day, we need to recall those who have attempted to persuade us into believing that their efforts to make our lives better involves government taking from those who have been vilified as sufficiently well-off to warrant the privilege of “contributing” so government can level the conditions for all.
